Maria Zambrano train station is the main train station of Malaga city, located in the centre at only about 9 kilometres from Malaga airport, connected by the C-1 Commuter train and just 2 kilometres from the Port of Malaga. These facilities are in operation since 2007, also during that year was added the Andalusian province as a new destination of the High Speed Train AVE.
