It is more than possible that during your stay in Malaga you want to visit a store or mall to buy a gift or souvenir, or simply because you fancy shopping. In order to facilitate you the location of these places to shop, we are going to describe the best places for shopping in Malaga.
Commercial area of the city
A place very easy to reach, thanks to the bus station and bus station located just 2 or 3 minutes from the shopping area of Malaga. In fact, inside Maria Zambrano train station is situated the Vialia Mall, perfect for enjoying many shops for gifts, fashion, shoes, accessories, jewellery, phone, and there is also an electronics and appliances store called Mediamarkt. There are also cinemas and recreational facilities for young people.
Very near Vialia, just 300 meters, is situated the Larios Shopping Centre with many clothing stores like Primark, Zara, Dunnes Store, Bershka, Blanco, Oysho, Womans Secret, Massimo Dutti, Foot Locker, among many other stores for phones, accessories, gifts, etc. The Larios Centre also boasts a large supermarket called Eroski.
Finally, 300 meters from the Larios Centre is located El Corte Ingles which is divided into two buildings separated by a street. In El Corte Ingles department store you will find any item or product that you need. Walking further up this street you get to Malaga Plaza Shopping Centre, where again you have at your disposal other stores and an entire floor dedicated to the Fnac chain providing electronics products, entertainment and leisure.
All malls are always accompanied by restaurants, bars and cafes to have lunch, dinner or take a break, besides their own parking area to park your vehicle.
Shops in the centre of Malaga
If you’re planning to visit Malaga centre for cultural interests and you want to go shopping we recommend you take some time to stroll through the famous Larios street. Occasionally at Paseo del Parque open small stalls that sell accessories at great prices. Additionally a few meters from the seafront is situated the port of Malaga, with Pier One and its various shops for clothing and accessories.
Other commercial centres
Outside the city, you have other shopping malls like Carrefour Los Patios, located at the entrance of Malaga and Carrefour Rosaleda situated next to the football field of La Rosaleda.
Near the airport there is a leisure centre called Plaza Mayor where in addition to restaurants, cinemas and bars there are plenty of clothing and accessories shops at your disposal. Close to the leisure centre is situated the Commercial Park Bahia Azul with a Worten (appliances and electronics) and Ikea and Conforama (furniture and decoration).
On the way from the airport to Malaga you will find the shopping and entertainment centre Malaga Nostrum surrounded by different stores like Opportunity Centre, El Corte Ingles, a Bauhaus to purchase products for DIY and Garden, a toy shop, a shoe shop, etc. Also on the way to Malaga, next to the highway, there is another shopping area with Leroy Merlin dedicated to selling products for decoration, construction and DIY and a Decathlon, specialized in selling sports items and products.
Other options for shopping
Another possible option is the Market (Rastro de Málaga) held every Sunday at the fairgrounds. There small stalls sell clothing, accessories and other products at a really low price.
