Torremolinos, Costa del Sol

Things to see and do in Torremolinos:
The town has seven kilometres of waterfront with a large number of 3 and 4 star hotels at the beachfront. Of course, coming to Torremolinos in summer means, if possible, stay at one of these hotels and enjoy great days in one of the following beaches: Bajondillo, Playamar, Los Alamos or La Carihuela. Also, walking along the promenade you will find different gifts and souvenir shops, and excellent restaurants to sample the best fried fish of the Costa del Sol. At night and in this area you will live unforgettable parties at bars and pubs located along the coast.
Shopping in Torremolinos
In the centre of Torremolinos is situated the famous San Miguel street lined with shops of all types of businesses, with different eating places, ice cream parlours and bars. Following this road you will get to the beach, or halfway each side you can continue to stroll along Plaza de la Nogalera or Plaza Union Europea. On the outskirts of Torremolinos is situated a shopping centre with boutiques, accessories and other businesses; additionally, on Thursdays there is a market, and on Sundays a flea market, both located at the fairgrounds.

Walking down San Miguel Street, just at the end, is situated the Tower Torre de los Molinos, considered the oldest monument in the village, built by the Arabs in the 13th century. The park Parque de Bateria with a pond navigable by small boats and replicas of cannons seems very interesting.
It is also advisable to visit the Botanical Park Molino de Inca with many birds from owls, barn owls, eagles, and many types of plants. The sports area of the municipality is also a point to consider if you like sports, as its facilities are of high quality, highlighting the sports centre and indoor swimming pools. Popular celebrations are the Pilgrimage and San Miguel Fair held the last week of September; if you get a chance do not miss them.
